The Stevens Elementary PTCO has partnered with school administration to identify, fund, and implement a large project on campus each school year. Recent projects include the installation of over $32,000 worth of playground equipment and partnering with the school to design and implement an outdoor classroom worth more than $10,000. These projects were primarily funded through corporate sponsorships and other PTCO fundraising activities.
This year, we want to involve YOU! The Stevens Annual Project will be funded not only through PTCO fundraising initiatives but also through the generous donations of our Corporate Sponsors and the Garden of Giving program. The PTCO has partnered with school administration and determined our next Annual Project will include over $75,000 in major improvements to the Stevens Elementary cafeteria:
New cafeteria tables
Replace window shades and repair/clean window trim
Upgrades to existing storage cabinets
Refinish the stage hardwood floor
Clean or replace stage drapes
The cafeteria is used by all students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis. The space is used for meals at school, school presentations, promotion ceremonies, teacher in-service days, and much more. This project is significantly larger than any the PTCO has completed to date and anticipate it will take place over the course of 2 to 3 years. However, we anticipate we will be able to see noticeable improvements year over year. The PTCO will also provide donors with project updates, information on any opportunities to help with the project, and once it is completed, the opportunity to visit Stevens and celebrate the completion of the project!
